First daylight savings afternoon
Felt pretty awesome but super gay at the same time, I might have to man this thing up a bit
This makes it worth it:
Before
After
I have to drive it a bit faster then my other 4wd, but then it uses quite a lot of gasOr put a lokka in the back at least
Now just waiting till my mate finishes work and going to attempt my first fishing adventure with the new beast![]()
Thats a cute truck you got there![]()
Professional Pervert
no matter how bigger wheels you put on there, or how much mud it gets covered in it will never be as manly as a MU![]()

i have one of these at the moment too pretty keen to do some mild off roading in it to see how it goes...
im not a hater im a realist...
I've got a VX Landcruiser, easily 10x as manly as a MU
They go well because they are light, in the sand dunes they go where all the big 4wds go but you have to make them sing. Big change from my landcruiser, 4.2 turbo diesel with oodles of torque whenever I want it down to a 1.6 4 cylinder petrol. Give me a bell if you want to have a drive up the beach
Gets me out of the house at least:
Not too keen on the amount of algae at the moment, shit reeks. Oh yeah, caught no fish![]()
Well missed out on the GoPro deal which I'm a bit gutted about, might have to get one later on

Was all good when we were sitting in there but as soon as we got pulled out and it levelled out there was a fucking torrent of water come flowing under the seats, hit the firewall taking all our rubbish with it
Feet stayed dry though and so did the front seatsMatt, was up there on saturday night and the majority of the water has gone but theres still a bit.
That particular puddle is tidal so yeah, salt water

All nice and shiny and fresh and unbent! Reconditioner took 18 thou off it to bring it back straight but it was enough that it needed a valve regrind which put the price up more then I expected.
Any suggestions for engine paint? Needs to be good in corrosive conditions

Time for an update on this thread!
Reading back through it makes me laugh, I was so young, naive, immature and did a lot of dreaming. I've done quite a bit of growing up in the last 5-6 years I will admit that.
Anyway the aim of the original Yellow EF was to become the fastest FWD in the country and in order to do that I needed to beat Ronnie Lims infamous Integra. Between 1999 and 2003 he had managed to get his street driven 12 second turbo integra down to a pure race bred methanol snorting beast that through numerous gearboxes managed to lay down a 9.88 @ 150mph.
Fast forward through the drama and lameness that was the last 400 odd posts of this thread to late last year when a deal came up I couldn't refuse - a chance to own that infamous car itself.
So naturally I bought it:
I got it as a rolling chassis, virturally untouched since Ronnie himself sold it minus all its parts
Earlier this week I mocked up a spare block/head/gearbox housing I had lying around as well as mocking up the wheelie bars
In reference to my 'what pisses you off' post - I hate dreamers and I've stopped acting like one - I have plans I want to acheive but at the moment my current plan is to get it driving under it's own power.
I have quite a few engines to choice from but the easiest and most complete is a B18C/B16A hybrid. Theres a few things I need but they aren't too hard to source.
Thanks for reading![]()
