looks good. get a shorter bolt for the mount au!
Looking good! How are you planning to fill in the upper part of the intake ports to make an oval? Some sort of epoxy?
Yeah I know the one you mean, not sure if I'd want to run that though. Going to try my best to get what I've got working.
(it's actually your old bonnet Brian, off the EF3)
lol yeah already got one, couldn't find it when we went to put the engine in so I'll chuck it in later.
Theres heaps of bolts I need to get, lots of the bellhousing ones are the wrong length. I'll have to make a shopping list and go buy a whole bunch.
Yeah exactly, apparently you get a little dentists drill and rough up the area with small holes to ensure the epoxy stays put.

hey dooOtdooOt wasn't the engine mean to have the head spun around or is that later down the line?
later down the line chewy.
ah ta Warren
Hey mike can you remember where you got that carbon disolver shit from?
Looks like an awsome project, if its going to be a while before you run itb's i would recomend running a euro-r intake manifold, Ive just put mine on my f20b and i really think its a worthwhile mod. I cant feel any power loss down low, and feels like theres a bit of a top end gain. although im running euro-r cams not the factory type s cams.
Its called Tergostrip it's a paint stripper and you can get it from Autocolor.
Not sure what to do about the intake I think I'll just run it like it is for now. Cams are not even Type-S and it's an auto engine so the TB is pindick, only 55mm.
Do you still have your SiR-T TB and Cams sitting around?
Tergostrip is fuckin deadly shit, wear protection its strong as....
You can get it in chch from industrial costings and United paints out kaiapoi way, we use it at work
Nah sorry i sold them a while back, I have a 60mm blacktop h22a tb if your interested.
Sometimes when I'm driving my civic, I turn off the radio and listen to the exhaust. On those days, I pop my collar extra hard so those who are deaf & waiting at the bus stop can visually see how hard my shit is.
for the people looking for tergostrip i believe you can get it from mitre 10 mega prolly gunna be cheaper than specialist paint stores but as mentioned wear gloves the stuff burns your skin something wikid (personal experience).
cars looking awesome dootdoot good to see people pushing the envelope. im gunna have to actually get out to some of the honda meets and see some of the cars from the forums in person.
U are definitely building up a new super track car, looking forward to see the final outcome
Damn it. I thought Doo0t had bumped this with awesome ideas he had thought up from abroad! I hope this build kicks back off when you get back Mike! Best thread on here at present!
Don't listen to what I say, I make shit up as I go.
Ha ha yeah nah wont be back for a while yet, at least a year at this rate. Gutting though, I'm always thinking how good it would be to get back into this project again.
Poor little crx sitting in the dark in it's container
The only thoughts I've had while over here are that I'm lucky to have an 89 crx which is 100% rust free! (after seeing the state of the cars over here) Kind of a shame I've axed it up so much but meh it's going to be the best crx ever when it's done so I'm not that bothered.![]()
Here's a wee photoshop of what I have planned for the front end. Might also split and deepen the front bumper to bring the bottom edge lower to the ground for the splitter, at the moment it's quite high even when the cars sitting low.
I doubt I'll be able to match up the carbon weave tidy enough so will prob just do it in fibreglass and paint the bonnet.
Or get another bonnet not sure yet.....
That would look wicked![]()
