Today I picked up a whole lot of parts from forum member STina,
I picked up:
Little clip for the drivers floor mat
the rubber nut thing that goes on the passenger side on the end of the boot strut against the glass
Drivers side windscreen trim
Little clips for the windscreen cowling
Roof lining
carpet
glove box
Heater core and heater hoses
Heater fan
Behind dash A/C box
And last but not least, some ITR rear seats
Pile 'O stuff:
Once I got home I got to work putting the roof lining in.
Before, no roof lining:
After, with roof lining:
I also mock fitted the ITR rear seats in the back. They sit in place fine and don't move, however because I changed to the interior that fit them there is no brackets wended to clip the back of the seats in place.
I'm going to see what I can figure out to get them held in the car nice and tight.
Anyway here's some pics so you can see:
Today I also removed the dash and took the front bit off it ready for the dash to be painted blackThe dash will most likely stay off untill the motor is in so it's easy to work with the loom etc.
Got the Heater core bolted in and plugged in :
The A/C box has now been gutted out and is just going to be used as a spacer between the fan and the heater core, like I did in the DA
and the un-needed inside:
One thing that has been bothering me since I got the car is this:
If you look carefully there is cracking in the plastic on the clear plastic cover. I will most likely replace this sometime, but for now my money is dedicated to other things
Love the red needles thoughI haven't seen many with these, if someone could tell me what model their off would be great

Today I popped into Supercheap Auto to pick up a few things and decided to see what they had in the way of plastic paint for my dash.
I stumbled across this and thought it would be perfect for the job:
The can doesn't mention anything about using primer, only to give it a good clean with wax and grease remover.
I decided to try it out on a few spare interior pieces I have.
I cleaned them up with wax and grease remover
I gave them 3 coats, with the first being the thickest and getting thinner with the next 2 coats
Here's the result:
I'm really happy with the result! The rest of the dash will be done in the near future also!

Pretty sure the red needles are off a vti (sohc vtec) eg4 most sedans had white needles and same with a lot of nz new models

So I picked these up the other day from forum member K-swap:
ITR front and the rear goes up above the interior plastic, so no cutting required!
I decided to see how well this would work:
Since there is no where for these to bolt to I thought I might as well try bolting them onto the plastic. I works great, the seats move a lot less.
I now want to try figure something out for the centre.
Yesterday I thought I would try and figure something out for mounting my C-pillar bar.
The interior plastic covers where the bar mounts, like so:
I got out the hole-saw set and started drilling, I ended up having to re-drill about 4 times till I got a size big enough.
Can't remember exactly what size it ended up being but it was around 40 or so mm.
I cut up some spare interior edge trim to go around the edge of the hole. The bar mounting points were too close to the plastic to fit it the whole way around but it is tidier than the rough edge of the hole.

I also chucked on the rear strut brace:
in other news, I broke the 5" extension and 17" power bar from my Powerbuilt 1/2" drive socket set.
This happened while trying to undo the hubnut on a mates car during an engine swap. At the end of the day we had a moment of silence for the 2 soldiers that didn't quite make it through.
The old man's taking it in to where it was purchased tomorrow to get a replacement under the lifetime warranty, so hopefully there's no problems there.

So today I got around to removing the power steering.
These 2 fittings and everything attached were removed. The other 2 lines are still there as, unlike the DA they only go from one point on the rack to another.
The plan is to loop the 2 currently empty holes. I am undecided if I just want to cut the original hose and re-use the fittings or if I want to purchase new fittings. I will most likely re-use the old ones unless someone wants all the lines ETC (Highly doubt it though), then I will get new fittings.
Now empty spot where the P/S reservoir use to be:

A small update.
The DA6 is sold!
This means I have some funds freed up to get the civic up and running a bit quicker

An update for today. Last one before I'm back at uni tomorrow.
I decided to just reuse the original hose fittings to loop the power steering, like so:
I also picked up a few things from forum member velvet47
I picked up a mildly ported B16a2 head with Blox titanium valve springs and retainers
Exhaust side:
Some Blox spec 2 cams with AEM truetime cam gear copies
I have ordered some Blox cam gears and will most likely swap them over onto the cams.
He also gave me a cambelt, he was unsure if it was B16 or B18. If it doesn't fit I will just buy a new one.
I also picked up a new pod filter for the whale penis
