Lol... oops, was only supposed to say getting the head refaced/milled. *went back to edit original post*.. thinking about too many things on this project...
Actually good question though, I don't know if porting would effect CR or notThe porting is more than stage 1 but less than stage 2 (if that makes a difference)...
I'm gonna ask![]()

only changes when u change the combustion chamber volume

Like they say: Blowers are for bitches, Bottles for babies, and N/A all the way
a legend vtec engine builder says that you should never change inlet port in any way only the exhaust port on vtec honda engines and you dont want air/fuel to swirl you want it to vibrate as it flows through intake then to combustion chamber.
JG_ENGINEDYNAMICS_INC this is link to said legend.
cool... combustion chambers are not being altered...
little update...
- Sandwich plate is on for oil pressure gauge,
- The fittings are on for the oil catch can,
- The water pipe in the back has been heat wrapped as this generates A LOT of heat which goes right up on the bottom of the intake manifold... so that's been taken care of nowhehe

wtf ''combustion chambers are not being altered...'' you never read what was said did you. im sure i typed it in english
C'mon man, Chill out.. No need for the attitude. This thread isn't about you...
I was replying to LS/VTEC
Yes, your comment was in English , but there's nothing I have to say to what you said, my engine head has already been ported...
Or did you want me to just throw away years of proven results from this guy's porting and thousands of dollars of work?

Come on guys I know this an open forum, but let this guy post up his build thread without everyone breaking out their 2 cents and start an argument.
anyway awesome build man, keep it upSubscribed.
Keen to sponsor??? haha
Amen!!! Haha... Thanks...
I really don't mind people putting comments and stuff, it's cool...
But for giving advice, please only give your input from experience, or experience from someone in the club I can actually talk to...
Mini update... Heat wrapped my intake pipe and got a new filter with heat shield, old one was a shocker...

NEED FRESH DESIGN? www.freshdesignz.co.nz
pro's dont polish smooth the intakes of the head. then there is nothing to mix air/fuel. it will not mix together it wont burn rite and you will kill a piston or four
its all about flow remember....
as sirge has said just wack in more fuel. with this set up hes obviously going for extreme top end
hence the big cams etc....
im sure charlie knows what hes doing, lets wait till its been run on the dyno before we start telling him this or that.
come on fadi, show us what this beasts capable of
awesome stuff man
Here is a better website to give you ideas on what works and what doesnt.
The Old One - Energy Dynamics : Articles
Its just information for argument sakes. If it makes power over stock then great if not then it's Fadi's motor at the end of the day

Defantly ditch the VAFC2.
VAFC2 is useless for tuning really all it can do is remove fuel. To add fuel you need a adjustable pressure reg. And then you have the problem when ever you remove fuel. It tells the map theres less air then it runs on a different collum in the ecu which also advances the timing.
Go get it crome tuned, Costs about the same price as buying the VAFC2 and getting that tuned and youll have a lot more controll on your tune.
I wouldnt bother with Hondata unless you running some really angry cams and want the most power you can get, for 90% of the time crome will have everything you need.
Its just the way they all work.
Just think about it for a moment and how they work.
A stock NA map will have 10 coloums from full vac at idle 26.48" to wide open throttle 0.4"
You cant tell the ecu with the vafc that theres more air then 0.4" since thats what earth's atmosphere is and if you could it would be going into boost tables and cause a CEL. So instead you you adjust the fuel pressure and raise it so its squiring more fuel then it normally would. Then it might be squirting to much fuel (running rich) so you tell it theres less air such as 2.36" which would be using -8 on a camfc.
So it then runs off that coloum in the ecu which will have more igntion then if it was running where its ment to be. Theres only so much you can do with turning the dizzy and youll end up having to scafice low load and low rpm power for WOT power. And if its needing to adjust a lot for the fuel pressure it will throw a CEL since it will be going over its offset.
Also anothing I didnt mention with the VACF2 and all the things alike is that you can only tune fuel for WOT since low RPM and low load it will be running off the O2 sensor.
VAFC and those airfuel controllers should only be used on a ECU that you cant tune or on very lightly modded engines such as intake and exhaust. But then there no point when a crome tune will cost the same as buying a VACF and getting that tuned.
Keen for results. You are definitely going to have to check piston to valve clearances now.
To end deepest concern for my 800hp N/A engine, there's a pattern you can actually feel in the ports for the aerodynamics (some trade secret which I don't even know), they're not completely smooth, but they are polished... Kinda hard to explain to someone who is explaining through other people's articles... Anyway.. moving on.......
hmm.. interesting posts bmgjet definitely something to think about...
A friend's setup was done similar to mine, same setup, same postons, and no issues there with piston to valve clearance...
I'm buying the vafc2 off him as this was on his setup before, until he got the money for a hondata s300... ill be going down that same path, but this is all I've budgeted for for now...

When~~~ they say polish..
It doesnt mean putting Autoso down the port and buffing until it goes bling....
I have a head done CNC.. there is a pattern from the edge of the head all the way down to the valve seat~

I think i know this build better then ANYone here on the forum
Right Fadi?
Wrapping the water pipe under the intake is a very good ideaguna steal this idea next time my engine apart. Looking good in general
