When I had my gearbox out last year I got my pressure plate rebuilt and uprated by Autoclutch. It is now twice the clamping pressure of the stock one but when I put it in it was actually softer to push in and out. I was a little concerned but run with it. No issues what so ever but interesting to say the least.

From what i've read they may have got the spacing wrong or something. Ive raced with it and it's perfect, just interesting that it's softer than the stock one

they seriously mucked up the spacing on the last clutch we had done there, to the point where once installed it was not operational. Clutch before that was rebuilt using the wrong materials (either by accident, or charging for one material and using another) and failed not long after being fitted.

Good afternoon.

-Got a battery relocation kit. Was used in another EF so everything is already to size. Just got to make a bracket to secure it too the floor in the boot.
-Sorted a new clutch kit. Should be here in the next week or two. Extreme clutch. Australian made, few mates run them and have had good results.
-Got four new tires sorted, Hero! 195/45/15. Getting them fitted by my tire god, Dr. Rubber. Also getting my guards rolled. Cheers boss.
-Purchased a pair of 20mm spacers for the rear and 15mm spacers for the front.
-Got my tints done last week by Car Folie in there temp location in Hamilton. Splendid Job. Really stoked.

Gave the Civic are good wax and poilish before the last auckland meet. Looks far better. Will take pictures if this fucking shit weather clears up. Well it's a mint day today but i'm in the office till dark

Decided to keep this build thread going. Don't like how the Blog system works. Makes my head hurt.

Did some work on the car on sunday.

Rear brake pads were very low, so i bought some new Bendix pads, removed rear calipers and gave them a quick clean up with a wire wheel/brush.
Painted them dark blue, not everyone's cup of tea but i like it. The pots weren't seized which i was stoked about. Greased the sliders and installed new pads.

Bleed all four brakes, working well.

Also for the last few weeks i have had the civic very low, low as it could go. I have had enough of battling with driveways, speed bumps etc. Raised the car to a much more sensible height and removed the spacers. It's so much more comfortable to drive now and handles far better of course.
With track days/NIMM coming up i am gathering parts for maintainence for when i pull the motor out next month.
Will be posting up some pictures tonight.

Update.

Last weekend i started pulling out the interior. Ran the battery cable under the carpet for the battery to boot relocation.
Back seats and rear carpet have been removed. Also getting some custom mounting plates made through a mate to mount my Racepro seat to the factory EF9 rails. Got my sump baffle welded in aswell.

Big weekend coming up. Will be ripping the engine out.

Have purchased:
4 new CV boots
LH outer CV joint
Castrol magnatec engine oil
Honda MTF
Coolant
Throttle body gasket
Sump gasket
etc etc..


Plan is to take the Civic to my parents house to use their garage. Will be going over on Friday afternoon as i got the day off work.

-Will be organizing the garage.
-Laying out all tools needed on the tool bench.
-Got alot of snap-lock bags from work to label and put nuts/bolts into them to keep things tidy and organized.
-Will be getting an engine crane and engine stand from a mate.
-Jacking the car up onto axle stands and removing the bonnet.
-I will then let the fluids drain overnight.

Will try and take as many photos as i can and update each night.
