It doesn't have any air intake on it at the moment. I'm going for a stock air intake and arm.
Stock is the new modified.
yes i noticed.
any reason? sure honda designed it to work with what they had planned, but isnt tracking a car using more air than intended hence an upgrade?

There will be a sufficient ducting coming from the front bumper. In reality, I probably wouldn't dyno it for a while and engine power isn't a priority when it comes to lap times.
Realigning the front end:
Had to remove the radiator so I could bash the radiator support.
After trial fitting the bumper and bonnet to close the gap between the 2, this is the result:
I had some Samco hoses lying around so I thought I would install them but found something interesting. What is it?
Found out from previous owner that it failed at their last race meeting so they took the guts out. No drama, no worries. Got a new one from Honda. Installed it. Put hoses on. Coolant in. Ran it up to temperature. Checked the fan came on. Win.
Ordered some OEM stuff from the USA. So waiting for the package to arrive. Working 6 days a week, I am finding it hard to work on the car but we will get there for SIMM! I am not missing out again to get out on to the track!
Looks like its coming along nicely, good stuff
Warren, could you go into a llittle more detail with what you did with the front end to make the bonnest and bumper align again? I'm interested
Yo-ho was the tool of choice.
Why?
Because Race car.
Hmm, what is this?
MTF, ATF, 2 x PLM filters and 4 x s2000 filters.
PLM are the RTA replacement filters. The s2000 filters are great for b-series engines.
Nah, its for the CRV. Lol.
Is that a new version of MTF or just different packaging to what we get here?
Motul Honda Cup #94
I honestly don't know, but I guess it will be the same with different packaging. If it is the same, it makes sense to buy this stuff for the price.
Oh ok, what website you get it all from? Im keen on those s2000 oil filters!

THE MOST DIE-HARD HONDA CAMP ON THE WEST COAST!!
Great customer service. It is worth it when the US dollar is high. Now is good. Shipping almost equals the total cost of parts. Best to use paypal as any other form of payment incurs a higher tax/add-on cost.
*edit: Not everything OEM is cheaper there than here.
So SIMM came and went.
A couple of photos from that event.

Thanks Trivium.
From those last 2 photos, things were not looking healthy. It appeared to be valve steam seals as it only happened when you took your foot off the gas and then gunned it. The last run I had was 30mins long and was probably 1 lap too many as I developed an engine knock. So satisfied that the car drives and handles beautifully. We can add, new engine to the list of maintenance we have for it.
So I have a crate b16a3 sitting under cover. I used it in my EF9 for a few years and has been sitting for a few more.
To my detriment, I didn't cover any ports or holes.
And was a bare short block.
Exposed threads rusted. Water on top of valves.
Oxidised Aluminum everywhere.
Lifted the rocker cover and there is still hope. I have taken off the cambelt, made sure I can turn each gear. The crankshaft does not turn. So I have chucked some oil down the spark plug holes and see what I can make happen.
I will share some more photos of the car shortly.
Cheers.
do you stll have ya motor from ya ef9? (150kw version)
HELLAGAY-buy some wheels that fit.
I have the head but sold the block.
