In the ITR, yea did look a little high but still better to have it high and drivable than low and sitting in the garage

well iv striped the spare gear box and pulled the mainshaft apart and the 3rd gear syncros need to be replaced. and the final drive is a 4.4, which sucks cause i was informed that i was a 4.7 so it realy realy sucks

ok well thanks for that, now to confuse people, it starts, first pop. so im really confused, and this is with the coil that wasnt working yesterday. so to me it is screaming major wiring faults
Sounds similar to my problem. Starts then just turns off when i hear the fuel not going when i turn the key to acc. Main relay plays up
yea but if got a wiring problem, the fuel pump is sweet, but i know i have a majour wiring problem, so im looking at re loming the interior loom and hoping the that will work

well im plagued with electrical issues lol, going over bumps at high speed, the motor bogs down and the cel turns of and turns back on when it doesnt bog down, you can hear a relay clicking on and off at the same time as the cel goes off, iv noticed the cel goes off when the lunch controler is on. and im doing a strip down mish this w.e cause i need to put my type r head on and also do the clutch cause that is sticking like a mofo.
well iv discorered what was causing the motor to cut out every now and then lol, there was oil leaking though the seal on my distrubtor and getting into the coil and covering all the pointsand it also explains why my water temp gauge wasnt working aswell cause its covered in oil, started the strip down this w.e theres some scaring on my cam caps i think my be associated with the fact i ran outa oil cause the type r cam caps are in beter nick than mine so im glad that im using the type r head now.
is there a difference in height between rocker covers???? cause there is only like 2-3mm diff in height between the type r head and non r head or are the blocks a different height?
B18c non R block same height as Type R
Non R head same height as Type R head (Type R head is basically a B16a head with more work)

ok so i cant work out why i have bonnet rub with the non type r and i didnt withe the type r motor, what would be some steps to reduce the motor moxing under load? solid mounts, engine torque dampner? please advice will be much apprecaited
Probably the mounts are worn. Fill them with urethane and a Torque damper if you deem it necessary. I have one in my ITR and it made a noticeable difference

well iv managed to pull the motor out of the car car, cant get the drivers side axle out of the gbox. but i pulled number 1 main cap of the conrods and the berring was only just run in, its burnt the conrod end cap and i havnt looked at the rest yet
