Are you able to move the center to sit on the inside of the inner lip, to change offset? Go with zinc plated cap screws rather than stainless too, still get the corrosion protection you want just at 3/4 the price.

    Hey Matt,

This isn't the same black interior as you're talking about, is it?

Depends on the design on the centre. Cheers for the heads up on the screws, need to find some, also in black anyone got hook ups? Don't fancy paying few dollars per bolt x80

Yep thats a Japanese interior. Thats a Jap import Eb1 as far as I can tell, not sure why its registered as a '77 - maybe the year it came in, and was still new at the timeBit of progress on the EBReco'd radiator, plus had the fan frame powered coated and fan blades steam cleanedAs it sits now. Inner guard tops have been taken back to bare metal and treated. Next is the firewall seam, and some spots in the engine bayAlso painted the wheels for the city. Quite pleased with the result, my first time painting with gun and a proper booth.

Shit photo is shit, but managed to get the city a fair bit lower. A 50+ mm drop in the front, and heaps in the rear.

Yay for Honda lego! Didn't spent a cent, just used other stuff I had spare

    better pics to come

Matt's Old School Honda Thread - More progress- 19/2/12

Didn't get a chance to play cars much this week, too busy, but

Did get the centres back, the powder coating is top notch, made the heavily corroded centre come up well

Got a bit more work done in the engine bay, rad support stripped back and coated, also the firewall seem.

In other news, paintless dent removal guy came earlier in the week and removed as many dents as he could. The spare tyre well has had the damaged paint removed, ready for rust proofing

How well do those paintless dent removal guys work? What sort of price do they charge out of interest?

    Re: Matt's Old School Honda Thread - CR-X deconstruction - 26/2/12

^ Paintless dent removal is top notch IMO. Really worth while as an alternative to bogging dents, so much better to get the dent removed before panel beating. Having said this, most panel beaters are probably capable of remove 80% of the type of dents the paintless removal guys do, but I'd estimate only 20% of them actually bother too, most would just slap some bog in there rather than take the effort to do it properly.

Putting the Orange EB on the back burners for the moment, to make way for another project..... (Owned by another forum user)

    Operation Mugen re-allocation

10:30am this morning, car looked like this

    Followed by

    Bloody rivets! Laziness

    Genuine Mugenz

    End of the day

The idea here is to take the Mugen body kit from car A. And fit to car B. Car B is running a B16a, and is certed, road worthy etc, where as A has a non-running motor and some rust.

Next stop, the panel beaters, for kit to be refitted, and car to be repainted

    Matt's Old School Honda Thread - CR-X deconstruction progress - 2/3/12

Bit more progress on the white CR-X

    Rear guard removal

    Left rear 1/4

    Minus the widebody kit

Front guards on, side skirts on

    Nosecone/bumper primed, and fitted

Unfortunately the black cars body has had a bit of a hard life as a rally car, so a bit of persuasion has been required to get the kit sitting right

    And in other news

    More wheels

Stripped the powder coating of the enkei cross fever wheels, all going well, I'll have them painted tomorrow
