Great progress has been made on the MIT/KiwiMotoring Honda Civic over the over the last few weeks, so I headed up to Auckland to have a look at the nearly completed roll cage.



As you can see, the 8-point roll cage is fairly extensive, running from the rear strut towers, right through to the engine bay.




Extra plates have been welded to the top of the rear strut towers for added rigidity. This new refinement is thanks to the feedback provided by experienced Honda Civic race car owners.

    Yep, definitely. Mine's not done yet, but you can see the dash bar in the example at the bottom of this page:

    nice! thats far more extensive then what were doin at ucol manfield.. and i must say damm u for working on civic's! we workn on corolla 4age powerd haha

    Yeah, I've always loved the EG Civic hatches, so I'm pretty happy that MIT choose to work on them.
